In September this year, a group of school-age children will enter primary school in Lanpo Lake Community, Lingxiu, Changchun New District, Jilin Province. However, recently, the owners got a message that this year, the children in the community could not enter the nearby elite schools.

Ms. Xu’s house is located in the fourth phase of Lingxiu Lanpo Lake Community and was purchased in 2018. According to her introduction, at that time, the unit price of more than 10,000 yuan was much higher than that of other nearby communities, and property buyers were also required to purchase a parking space of more than 100,000 yuan. At that time, when the real estate was publicized, the main selling point was the nearby elite schools.

At that time, a large number of outstanding schools appeared in the posters and sales brochures of the real estate. However, according to the 2021 degree warning issued by seven schools in Changchun New District in October 2020, the children in the Lanpo Lake Community in Lingxiu are likely to be assigned to Chongwen School three or four kilometers away. This is undoubtedly a bolt from the blue for the owners who bought houses just for the school district.

The sales staff first said that the developer could not promise the school district, but made an introduction with hints.

In another real estate sales office named XXX Academy, the model of the school occupies half of the sand table, indicating the close distance between the community and the school. Its advertising language also uses "meet an excellent university", implying its connection with the school.

However, the reporter encountered such a scene when investigating the Jingyue High-tech Industrial Development Zone in the south of Changchun.

In fact, the Huize School mentioned by the salesperson is still just an open space, let alone a non-school area, but it has been used as a "selling point" by some real estate developers around.

In fact, in 2020, several urban education departments, including Changchun New District, successively issued the Statement on Prohibiting Real Estate Developers from Bundling Education and Publicity. On April 8, the Education Bureau of Changchun Jingyue High-tech Industrial Development Zone also issued a statement, indicating that the publicity and commitment of real estate enterprises to bundle education has nothing to do with the government. If the school-age teenagers can’t go to the school promised by the real estate enterprise because of the false propaganda of the real estate enterprise, the buyers have the right to cancel or terminate the purchase contract according to the legal provisions and legal procedures.

On the one hand, there are scarce school places, and on the other hand, there are so-called "counterpart" buildings that are constantly being built. The real victims behind the unbalanced balance are a group of children standing at the crossroads.
