Nanjing police cracked the case of ＂Big Miss＂ extra-large Trojan horse.
Xinhuanet Nanjing, February 25th (Reporter Wang Junyong) Recently, Nanjing police successfully cracked the case of Wang and others who were listed and supervised by the Ministry of Public Security for manufacturing and selling "Miss pilfer date trojan", busted a mega-cyber hacker criminal gang and arrested 17 suspects.
On May 6, 2008, the network police detachment of Nanjing Public Security Bureau received a report from Jiangsu Provincial Water Resources Department, saying that the page of Jiangsu Water Resources Network, a government website which is mainly responsible for handling official documents and releasing public opinions, could not be opened, and it was suspected that it was hacked. The main leaders of the public security organs in Jiangsu Province and Nanjing City quickly gave instructions to solve the case quickly, and the Nanjing police set up a task force.
From May to June 2008, the task force arrested six suspects, including He Mou, in Yichang, Hubei and Guilin, Guangxi, and successfully detected the attack on the website of the Water Resources Department. At this point, the task force found that the purpose of these people attacking the website of the Water Resources Department was to implant a Trojan hacking program called "Miss Da" on the website. And this "Miss Big" Trojan has already stolen many online game accounts. This situation attracted the attention of the Ministry of Public Security, and it was listed as a case supervised by the Ministry of Public Security, and Nanjing Public Security Bureau was appointed to take charge of this case.
After investigation, the task force captured 10 people, including Wang, the organizer of the "Miss Da" series Trojan gang, Long, the author and Zhou, the general sales agent in Shanghai and Sichuan.
According to the account, the criminal suspect Wang, for the purpose of making profits, has hired Long to compile more than 40 pilfer date trojan for domestic popular online games since the second half of 2006. We have sold a series of Trojans named "Big Miss" through the general agent of Zhou and others on the Internet.
The criminal suspects who bought the "Miss Da" Trojan stole the number of more than 40 mainstream online games, such as "QQ free fantasy" and "Legend of Wulin", which accounted for more than 60% of the trojan horse hacking market in China, which was extremely harmful. These people first implant illegal links into regular websites, and users will automatically download pilfer date trojan after visiting the websites. When the user logs into the game account, the game account will be automatically stolen. The suspect directly sells the stolen account or hires people to transfer the virtual property in the account and then sells it for profit.
After investigation, Wang has made an illegal profit of more than 14 million yuan by selling the "Miss Big" Trojan. The police believe that the criminal suspect’s behavior of spreading Trojan horse programs through the Internet has partially lost the normal communication function between the server and the user’s client computer system of online game companies, which has seriously affected the normal operation of computer information systems of more than 40 online game operating companies and caused great economic losses.
