Use the plane as a wishing pool again! A passenger threw a coin at the plane to cancel the flight.

On the morning of April 20th, Weibo, the official of Beibu Gulf Airlines, disclosed the cancellation of the flight caused by a passenger throwing a coin at the plane.

According to the contents of Weibo, at 19: 00 pm on April 16th, Beibu Gulf Airlines GX8814 Weifang-Guilin-Haikou flight found coins on the ground during the pre-departure inspection. After being inquired by the crew, Wang, a male passenger with seat number 36J, admitted to throwing six coins wrapped in red paper at the plane for the purpose of "blessing" when boarding the plane, and then the relevant personnel recovered all six coins.

For safety reasons, Beibu Gulf Airlines decided to cancel the flight GX8814 on the same day, and arranged a make-up flight the next day after a comprehensive inspection of the aircraft engine, which affected the itinerary of 148 passengers. It is reported that passenger Wang has been handed over to the airport police for further processing. Beibu Gulf Airlines reminds you once again that you must abide by civil aviation regulations when traveling by air.

How harmful is it to throw coins at the plane? According to the airline staff, if coins are sucked into the core of the engine, they are likely to collide with the blades of the engine rotating at high speed, which will easily lead to the stall or even stop running of the engine, thus leading to tragedy. Knowing that coins have entered the aircraft engine, the aircraft must be grounded for inspection. If you don’t know the number and location of coins, or the location of coins is too close to the inside, you can only dismantle some parts of the engine for inspection operation, and the cost incurred in this process may be tens of thousands of yuan. In a word, throwing coins at the plane will not only fail to pray, but also endanger aviation safety. The perpetrators will face the consequences of being detained, fined and prosecuted, which will do no good.
